Safety & Security Film

While glass windows in today's homes, offices and buildings provide a necessary function and aesthetic appeal, they can become extremely dangerous — even deadly — when shattered or broken panes turn into flying shards of glass. Natural hazards, accidents and crime all pose potential risks to most glass systems existing today.

Fortunately MRM Products has a safety and security film that can reduce the risk of human injury and property damage.

Natural Hazard Protection
During hurricanes and tornadoes, safety research indicates that security film can save lives and reduce property damage by preventing flying objects from penetrating windows. Additionally, earthquake studies confirm that home or office structures that include security film can substantially reduce the hazard of flying and shattered glass, a major source of injury.

Accidental Damage Protection
A variety of glass window accidents occur in the home every year; a stray baseball hits an unintended target, a lawn mower propels a rock, a toddler falls against a bay window. The installation of the proper safety film can keep these minor accidents from becoming a medical emergency.

Escape Ladders

We handle a complete assortment of Emergency Escape Ladders to help keep an unfortunate event from becoming a catastrophe. The ladder provides a safe means of getting out of your home or business when all other exits are unavailable. Simply place the ladder hooks over the window sill and climb down the ladder to safety.

Easy to install (and remove) standoffs provide added stability for every rung while allowing flexibility to avoid a variety of wall obstructions or hazards.
Example: A lower floor window is located directly below the designated egress window and the path of deployed escape ladder along wall. The standoffs on the rungs located in front of the lower window may be removed to avoid breaking the glass. The custom placement of these standoffs above and below a window can help prevent personal injury while descending the escape ladder to safety.

Vertical Chute: The Multiple Exits Escape Chute is designed for use on structures with multiple stories. The chute has multiple zippered exits approximate 7' apart. The weight of the chute body is about 1 lb/ft and can hold up to 4000 lbs at once during evacuation. The Chute is made on spiral form in the left turn direction. The speed of descending is about 7' or less per second. Therefore, no heavy shock or impact should be felt when escapee reaches the bottom of the chute where a protective landing cushion is attached for additional protection.

Incline Chute: The Incline Escape Chute is designed for use on structures with multiple stories. Unlike the Vertical Chute, the Incline Chute is similar to a children's slide, yet is enclosed to prevent someone from accidentally going over the side. Due to the mechanics of the chute's operation, it needs to be stabilized with hooks in the ground. Once stabilized, multiple people can descend in succession to speed egress from the building. The chute also has a protective cushion at the bottom to avoid shock at the time of landing on the ground.

Solely intended for use in serious situations, the EscapeLine is an easy-to-use parachute mechanism that can help victims escape from tall structures of at least ten stories or 125 ft. above ground level. The comprehensive manual and instruction video helps users to care for their parachute and teaches them how to use chute in emergency situations.
